Training Programs

Adult and Career Development training programs provide individuals an avenue to develop the skills and competencies they need to succeed in today's workplace.  Through Oklahoma's technology centers, adults may participate in learning opportunities to develop new and emerging job skills, ease workforce transition, and enhance career development.

Adult programs are available at Oklahoma's career and technology education systems' network of 29 technology center districts and 54 campuses.   They are offered as open-enrollment, short-term courses or as occupational programs.  Adult programs offer career and skill development and certification opportunities in industries such as health, computer and information technology, and many others.

Continuing education requirements are also available through adult programs in areas such as real estate, insurance, and electrical.  Adults may also participate in personal enrichment programs such as investing, computer basics, and photography through the adult programs offered at your local technology center.

Adult training programs offered at Oklahoma technology centers are:
  • Open to anyone 16 years or older
  • Flexible
  • Designed to provide hands-on training opportunities
  • Cost effective
  • Designed to provide lifelong learning and continuing education opportunities
